Community Manager

Location: San Francisco, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, New Delhi, London, Paris

We are seeking a seasoned community manager who is ready to take their career to the next level. You will contribute heavily to our US community engagement and be an instrumental part of our success. We will count on you to oversee all online channels and local communities as we build awareness of and support for our scalability solutions. This requires a thoughtful and data-driven approach to optimizing the levers for growing IOST’s community.

Applicants should have a proficient understanding of blockchain technologies and a high level of comfort interacting with the underlying base of active community members. An ideal candidate is active within the blockchain ecosystem and has a knack for pinpointing what motivates and grows these online communities. Applicants will work cross functionally with the rest of the team to engage and grow our active base of community members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on a community engagement framework with key milestones, campaign KPIs, and an empathy-driven approach to community success.
  • Keep a pulse on the larger ecosystem events and trends while collaborating with fellow team members on event messaging and strategy.
  • Create a distribution strategy for pushing out marketing collateral and iteratively improve our core messaging and positioning on online communities.
  • Actively participate in community events and build relationships across the ecosystem to unlock business development and partnership opportunities.

Experience Requirements

  • 1-5 years of hands-on experience in a community or PR role at an online business.
  • Must have excellent listening, verbal, and written skills so as to communicate effectively with a diverse set of constituents with varying degrees of understanding.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships with all stakeholders in a given ecosystem.
  • High degree of end-user empathy and ability to understand what appeals to the online community’s interest and confidence in a platform.

Digital Marketing Manager

We are seeking a seasoned digital marketing manager who is ready to take their career to the next level. You will drive our US growth strategy and be an instrumental part of our success. We will count on you to oversee user acquisition and engagement as we build awareness of and support for our scalability solutions. This requires a thoughtful and data-driven approach to optimizing the levers for growing IOST’s community. Applicants should have an instinct for designing experiments to improve community awareness, engagement, growth, and retention. An ideal candidate is proficient in user acquisition and has experience with content marketing, programmatic media buying, conversion rate optimization, and marketing automation. Applicants will work cross functionally with content marketers, content writers, and community managers to iteratively optimize our marketing spend.

  • Develop and execute on a marketing framework with key milestones, campaign KPIs, and a data-driven approach to pushing out our content.
  • Find valuable opportunities for organic, viral, and paid customer acquisition while automating wherever possible to allow successful channels to scale.
  • Analyze the core metrics of every campaign to identify areas for improvement and respond to feedback from the online communities.
  • Direct and work with content writers and digital marketers to generate world class collateral, including press releases and live programming.

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a marketing or growth role at an online business.
  • Proficiency in user acquisition, demand generation, digital analytics, and the relevant tools in paid advertising, digital analytics, and etc.
  • An ownership mentality that combines a demonstrated ability to excel in self-directed work and the self-awareness to manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preexisting expertise in blockchain is not required but quality candidates should be deeply curious about the technologies that might transform the way we live.

Content Marketing Specialist

Applicants should have an instinct for sharing-based strategies to improve community awareness, engagement, growth, and retention. An ideal candidate is proficient in content marketing and has experience with press relations, social media, and consumer psychology. Creativity will be essential. Applicants will work cross functionally with digital marketers, content writers, and community managers to iteratively optimize our marketing spend.

  • Write articles and online content to introduce or market company’s goal and product
  • Grow and manage the online presence of IOST
  • Manage social media accounts including but not limited to Twitter, Reddit, Medium, Kakao, Wechat etc.
  • Find valuable opportunities for organic, viral, and paid customer acquisition while automating wherever possible to allow successful channels to scale.
  • Direct and work with digital marketers to generate world class collateral, including press releases and live programming.

Experience Requirements

  • 1-4 years of hands-on experience in a marketing or growth role at an online business.
  • Proficiency in writing formal articles and familarity with local online communities
  • An ownership mentality that combines a demonstrated ability to excel in self-directed work and the self-awareness to manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preexisting expertise in blockchain is not required but quality candidates should be deeply curious about the technologies that might transform the way we live.
